The Shinsei Galverse anime pilot is currently in production with our partner studio in Tokyo, Japan. Directed by Galverse co-founder Ayaka Ohira, and hand-illustrated using traditional cel techniques, the Galverse anime embodies our philosophy of nostalgic x futuristic creation, utilizing oldschool techniques combined with next generation technology and storytelling. 

WAGMAA!

Driven by our global community, Shinsei Galverse is one of the first anime to be co-created and co-directed by fans as part of a cutting-edge online experience we call WAGMAA: We’re all gonna make an anime!

Community members contribute to regular assignments across categories including art, design, marketing, QA, and writing. Their input is reflected back in the final production - their digital collectible character might make an appearance, outfit designs will be polished and illustrated by professional animators, lines they wrote will make it into the script, or their bright ideas go into a marketing campaign that helps propel Shinsei Galverse towards international success.

Throughout the process, Team Galverse shares materials, sneak peeks and other experiences that educate our community on the process behind creating anime and entertains them with a level of transparency that’s unique across the world of animation.

THE RELEASE

The Galverse anime pilot is scheduled for release in the first half of 2024. It entered production in late 2022. WAGMAA began in pre-production and will continue throughout the full life cycle of the anime, including post-release activities.
